LIBRARY

The Center for Mad Culture holds a unique non-lending library with a collection of mad studies, disability studies, historical artifacts, and poetic works for patrons of the Center to utilize.

Our library is a unique and growing collection of books focused on mad studies and disability studies, offering a rich resource for those interested in exploring the cultural, historical, and personal narratives of madness and disability. From academic texts to memoirs, poetry, and theory, our collection provides critical insights into the experiences and contributions of mad and disabled individuals.

While many of the books in our library are available for reference and exploration in our space, only select titles are available for check-out. To borrow books, you’ll need to visit the Center and sign up with us in person. We encourage you to drop by, explore our catalog, and become a part of the mad cultural conversation!

Feel free to browse the catalog below or reach out if you have any questions—we're here to help!

This is a work in progress, please reach out with any questions.
